Have you ever walked the jagged perimeter of your known knowledge? One of the joys of gaining knowledge and most likely the most important is knowing what you don’t know. Pick any point on your perimeter of knowledge and look out over the horizon of what it is you actually know and you realize very quickly that there is a large, vast, infinite horizon of the unknown. With the right attitude and approach this most likely is one of the most exciting experiences a human can have.

Not knowing is exciting. It’s why we day dream. It’s why we travel. It’s why we read. It’s why murder mysteries are so popular. It’s how magicians keep our attention (once we “know” the trick, we are usually very disappointed). Its what keep us coming back to figure out that problem we cant solve. It’s why we create! Not knowing keeps are attention and curiosity on high alert.
